Body & Neck
The Rosewood fingerboard is a mainstay throughout the Standard range. Not much can beat the feeling of a beautiful, grainy Rosewood for effortless playing on the 22 rolled frets.
The SG Standard retains the matching resonant Mahogany trans finish body with matching mahogany neck that offers huge sustain. Its also still as light as ever. Great for high-octane live shows or comfortable playing for hours on end at home.
Sound
Gibson’s 490R and T pickups are a perfect balance between modern and vintage. They’re designed to accentuate the midrange and retain a relatively broad bass and treble full frequency. Their unbalanced coils give them top-end bite and punchy tone.
Two tone and two volume knobs give you plenty of room to manoeuvre and shape unique sounds.
Hardware
The Graph Tech nut and Grover tuners combination ensures stable tuning and excellent sound transfer, so you can go wild with bends, vibrato and aggressive playing. Gibson have equipped the SG with a super sturdy Tune-O-Matic bridge and an aluminium stopbar. No rusting, easy to clean and extreme comfort for the picking hand.

A very recent used Gibson SG Standard, originally bought in our shop earlier this year. Traces of use, yes ... a few - a very small ship of paint came off on the top of the headstock (on the back) and some minor scratches ... but this does nothing to the integrity of the instrument (It means the previous owner loved it). Yes, it comes with a hard case and everything what came originally with the case - grab it while you can !
