Gibson describes the SG Supreme as a hybrid SG and Les Paul. They’re not wrong, as it’s crafted with the classic pairing of a Mahogany body and neck, in partnership with a resonant Maple top.
It also has a dark, luxurious Ebony fretboard with 24 medium jumbo frets – a supremely modern appointment, great for fast playing. This is accentuated even further with its slim taper shape neck, which feels natural on the playing hand as you move across the fingerboard.
The Burstbucker Pro Rhythm and the Pro Plus Lead covers everything from high-output tight modern metal, all the way down to the classic vintage voicings found in Gibson's more traditional pickup sets. The push/pull coil tap on the volume controls enables you to get even more versatility from this SG with its bright and articulate single-coil-like sounds that the pull of a knob.
