STATE OF THE ART DESIGN
The Combustion boasts a maple-capped swamp ash body modeled after Dingwall's Custom Shop Afterburner. You'll appreciate the compact, lightweight design of this 4-string electric bass; it's comfortable and supremely balanced when you strap it on. The Combustion features a bolt-on, 5-piece maple neck with an easy-playing Slim "C" shape. Its 9.45-inch-radius fingerboard brandishes 24 acoustic-sized frets, while Novax's Fanned-Fret system and a 34–36.25-inch scale spread give it ergonomic playability over two full octaves.
CUTTING-EDGE PICKUPS AND ELECTRONICS
You'll be able to coax a multitude of high-output tones out of the Dingwall Guitars Combustion, courtesy of its neodymium-loaded FD3n split-coil pickups. These pickups exhibit a chest-thumping range of smooth yet aggressive tones with enough articulation to accommodate chording, tapping, harmonics, and other next-level techniques. Beyond that, the FD3n pickups are wired to a 3-band EMG B30EQ active preamp, along with Dingwall's acclaimed 4-position Quad-Tone pickup selector, a master volume control, and an active/passive toggle switch.

Carved out of a solid slab of swamp ash with a quilted maple top, the Combustion boasts a pickguard-less design and a gloss polyester finish to accentuate the maple's eye-catching grain patterns. Its 5-piece maple neck offers incredible comfort and stability, and its 9.45-inch-radius fingerboard with 24 acoustic-sized frets is the perfect launchpad for fleet-fingered playing techniques. Add to that Novax's Fanned-Fret system, and you have an electric bass with unparalleled string-to-string consistency, spot-on intonation, and ergonomic playability that's second to none. The Combustion is equipped with three Dingwall FD3n neodymium pickups, yielding scorching-hot output and a smooth yet aggressive tone deftly bolstered by Dingwall's Quad-Tone pickup selector and an EMG B30EQ active preamp. This bass also includes industry-leading hardware, including licensed Hipshot Ultralite 20:1-ratio tuning machines and a rock-solid Dingwall bridge.
